Glyco@Alps at the Science Festival 2018
from October 11, 2018 to October 13, 2018
From 10am to 6pm
Glyco@Alps through the Glyco@Club will be at the Science Festival. The international scientific event will be held in the campus of Grenoble from October 11 to 13, 2018. Come to visit us on our stand!
The Glyco@Alps stand is all about sugars and glycosciences. Sugar molecules are everywhere around us, and are part of biological mecanisms that are crucial for normal body function. One animation will show what sugars are in our food, and will put theory into practice by showing how to make your own candy. The Scientific Game Jam 2018 contest winning video game will also enable you to understand that sugar is not just important for our nutrition, but helps alpine algae survive in high altitude conditions. There will be a fun quizz to debunk ideas about sugar for all ages. You can also explore the sugar molecules through virtual reality and discover... 3D printing with microcristals of cellulose sugars!
