Glyco@alps is pleased to announce the 2025 edition of the Summer School that will be held from June 16th to June 18th in Grenoble at IBS and Cermav.

The 2025 edition of the Summer School on Structural Glycoscience took place from 16 to 18 June 2025 in Grenoble at IBS and Cermav.

In partnership with the LGP2 laboratory and ENSAG (Grenoble School of Architecture), Glyco@Alps has supported a series of workshops on the TerCel project "Exploring new earth/cellulose composite materials through design", organized by the teaching team of the Master’s program "Design, Resilience, Inhabiting".

Glyco@Club is pleased to announce the Structural Glycoscience Summer School that will be hold at CERMAV and IBS from June 5 to 7 2023. More than 50 applications were received and the organizers are currently selecting the candidates.

New schedule : Ana S. Ramirez from the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biophysics (ETH Zurich) will give a conference entitled " Structural and mechanistic investigation of membrane enzymes involved in protein N-glycosylation" on Friday, MAY 26th, 2023, at 11 am in Institut de Biologie Structurale (IBS Grenoble).

Emma Colombari presented a poster at the Spring meeting of GDR DUMBIO.

Prof Laura Kiessilng, Department of Chemistry at MIT (Boston), will be on a Tour de France, invited byt the Ambassadors@INC program. We will have the honor to receive her in Grenoble on Monday 24th of April and she will present her research on recognition of glycans and the possible application for therapeutic purposes.

Moustoifa Said will defend his thesis "Development of injectable hydrogels with imaging capability for cell therapy" at CERMAV on 21th of March, 2023.

Paul Rivollier will defend his thesis "Chemo-biotechnological synthesis of glycoconjugates for the development of nanoparticles against Influenza viruses" at CERMAV on 28th of February, 2023.

Lars Berglundf from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden) will give a conference entitled " Cellulosic biocomposites and nanomaterials - micro- and nanostructural effects on mechanical properties and optical transmittance" on Monday, Februrary 27th, 2023 at 10 am in CERMAV Laboratory (UGA).

Glyco@Club is pleased to support the Unite! Biomass Winter School about biomass valorization, organized by (Graduate School of Engineering in Paper, Print Media and Biomaterials) and the LGP2 laboratory.

François Bru completed his thesis at Cermav under the supervision of Laurent Heux, CNRS Research Director. He focuses on hydrophobization of cellulosic materials.

Malgorzata SULEWSKA, from CERMAV Grenoble and Hannover Medical School, will defend her thesis entitled "Biosynthesis, Depolymerization, Detection, and Analysis of Glycosaminoglycans with a Focus on Heparosan".

Glyco@Alps offers a limited number of grants for PhD students and young researchers who will attend a scientific event to present their work in 2023 Deadline is January 31, 2023 at 1pm.
